Abdominoperineal posterior sagittal anorectoplasty without protective colostomy in high arm pouch colon surgery

Background: In high anorectal malformations (ARM), surgical management includes initial colostomy at neonatal period followed by abdominoperineal posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSARP) without a protective colostomy. Aims and Objectives: The aims of this study were as follows: (i) To evaluate whether 2 stage PSARP gives better outcome for ARM than three (ii) to assess overall stay duration, cost incurred, complications associated with two PSARP. Materials Methods: A total 30 patients studied. Fifteen classical (three stages) constituting Group studied retrospectively 15 in B who underwent (Two stages). Comparative was done between the groups choice procedure patients. Results: A, blood transfusion required more B. Mean expense incurred Complications occur eight patients, whereas B, occurred six Conclusion: Stages pouch colon are alternative stages repair all aspect.
